Yes, people, it is a picture of a tiger and not a leopard. If you don’t get it, you should be using an etch-a-sketch to browse the Internet anyway.

Whenever people complain that the end is near, and we should all just give up, I love to post “WAS IT OVER WHEN THE GERMANS BOMBED PEARL HARBOR? NO!” … just so that one guy can say “man, I loved John Belushi”, and 87 retards can inform the world that it was the Japanese who bombed Pearl Harbor.

Those of you who have passed feline identification have failed at reading comprehnsion.

Btw – I think my BSD (Unix for you mundanes) system has been up for about 4 years straight without a hiccup or a reboot.

Hell man, Mac is going in the wrong direction.

They keep going to more and more complicated cats:
jaguars, tigers, leopards

when they should be going in the opposite direction:
tigers, jaguars, lynx, kitties

When a child can program a widget with the same ease that they can finger paint, then OsX is ready for prime time.

With the cureent direction of OsX who cares if some obsessive compulsive computer geeks manage to memorize every putrid cranny in osX? That only goes to prove how insecure they are.

Our technological “OASIS” provides a good parking basis while stalled on the “AUTOBAHN PARKING LOT” during the “RUSH HOUR COMMUTE” when its hot!

Maybe we can have a “BEETLEJUICE” rendition of “DANCING WITH THE STARS” while flirting with idling and stalled cars, and cheating our favorite “HAPPY HOUR BARS” because of dumb cars.

As a fellow Apple user I am aghast at your irreverent criticism of the operating system that was bestowed on us by the almighty Jobs, on the Mountain of PR.

I have to agree that lots of third party software brings it to its knees and the whole Airport system is flawed, however I see this as a punishment on the world for electing Bush, waging the war in Iraq on Windows software and our abuse of the eco-system.

I don’t know what all you are talking about….I haven’t had that many issues with Leopard. Its been the most stable and fastest version of OS X yet. My biggest complaint is with Wireless…..its buggy, but is being worked on and will hopefully get fixed in 10.5.3.

Other than that I haven’t had any issues!

give it up itards. I have been using vista since it came and i have had zero problems. I have never used and dont see a need to. For those who don’t like OSX come over to windows and be forever happy as I am.

I’ve been running OS X on high-end hardware (currently a Mac Pro) since 10.0.0 and I’ve always upgraded as soon as the new cat comes out. Not this time, though. Everything I own works perfectly in Tiger and I’ll probably just skip Leopard entirely and wait for the next generation. I’m sure the bugs will be out of Leopard in another revision or two, but by then it won’t be worth upgrading unless a Leopard-only application that I need shows up.

Dudes, a couple of things. First, I know it’s a picture of a stupid tiger. It’s because the end of the piece concerns my love of Tiger. Hence a picture of a tiger. If I had wanted to put in a picture of a leopard, I would have done so. I know the difference.

Second, if everything was okay with Leopard, there wouldn’t be crazy, flaming posts on message boards all over the place and big articles entitled How To Fix All The Things You Hate About Leopard.

Finally, I love my Mac. I love OS X. I do not like Windows. I spent a long time in that environment and I have no plans to go back. Don’t you guys sometimes complain about the things you love as well as all the things you do not?

Wow, who’d a thunk that Apple would have any issues at all? Its the reason I say karma is a *****. Apple shouldn’t have these issues as they know exactly what hardware they will be running on, but as I see they can’t do that without a hitch. Now i just hope to stop hearing the “mine is better” crap from all 3 major OS’s fanboys.

As an MS engineer, I’m willing to say that there is a place for the Mac (and not just in the trash can). However, with that said, I don’t own a Mac.

I get free use of a Wintel box at the office and I already have a small fortune in Wintel stuff at home. Why would I want to sink a bunch more money into an Apple box just to get more-or-less the same functionality? And, that assumes that I don’t mind the learning curve that’s associated with the Mac.

I suppose that if Apple were to give the box, apps and o/s away for free, or charge something significantly less than a Wintel upgrade/replacement, I might give it some thought. But giving away Macs just doesn’t seem to be Apple’s business model.

So, I’m going to stick with XP on my home computer, thank you very much, and continue to occassionally toy with SuSe 10.something-or-other and OpenOffice on my “hobby” box. I might one day go to junk store and pick up an old Mac, just to say that I did. But Apple’s new iteration just doesn’t make economic sense to me.

Three years ago, after nearly 20 years of suffering with MS (first DOS, then Windows), I switched. I am now on my third OS, Leopard. I couldn’t be a happier guy. My WiFi is always there, our 2 notebooks can communicate (and we use Mac.com for our calendar synching) and we just bought a Time Capsule which is perfect for backing up, wirelessly, our MacBookAir and MacBookPro.

What can I say? We love it all.
