14. Stay inebriated.

And Bing, thanks for Mr Winkle...he made me feel a whole lot better than did MJ's death extravaganza, Afghanistan, or the sordid state of the economy.....as long as Mr Winkle stays the hell off my lawn things are really 'looking up'.

Mr Winkle would certainly never lie about hiking the Appalachian trail, solicit sex from an undercover police officer in the next stall, or mislead us regarding WMD's in Iraq. That's change I can believe in.

The most important thing to do when you return? Post something new on your blog so everyone will know you are alive.

You did it right. Welcome back!

Good to have you back, Bing. We missed you. We were an aimless, unfocused bunch. As I recall. In some ways it felt good. None of us felt the need to be wise, current, or witty. We just hung out on your blog, idling away the weeks.

Take it easy. Don't hurt yourself; we would all benefit by a slow ramp-up. Really slow. And the way the economy feels this week, slow is the word.

Bing, maybe the picture of Mr Winkle caused the hijack of your tool bar by the MS Bing entity...we really don't know how deep the conspiracy goes, although Madoff hinted his harsh sentence may be linked to the well-groomed canine as well...be suspicious...the times are changing...

Wear some calamine lotion to kick the notion of stepped up motion.

The usual slow motion, or no motion, is great for continued office commotion. Welcome back!

10. Find a good hiding place and catch a long nap so you can recover from your exhausting vacation. The way it works when you're a state or federal worker is: Out of sight, out of mind.

Bing,

The problem I am encountering coming back from vacation is the realization that working sucks and that there are better things to do with my life. (e.g. drinking fruity cocktails by the pool.) What advice can you give on getting motivated again? Besides the eating, shelter and contributing member of society stuff I get from lousy bum coworkers?
